SOUL FOOD

FINE-DINING CATERING.

Overhead shot of lively dinner party

I'm Chef Mal. I cook the food I grew up on and plate it like fine dining, because it deserves to be treated that way. Short ribs braised until they fall apart, salmon stuffed with crab, lamb chops seared to order, a live hibachi bar when the moment calls for it. It's soul food with real technique behind it, made from scratch and catered across the DMV. However you're celebrating, my job is to make the food the part everybody remembers.

A table with a plate of fried chicken, a bowl of mashed potatoes with gravy, sautéed greens, and lamb chops with roasted potatoes and vegetables.

EVERY PLATE MADE FROM SCRATCH, PLATED LIKE FINE DINING, ROOTED IN SOUL.

I learned to cook in a kitchen where feeding people was how you told them they mattered. That's still the whole idea. No copy-paste menus, no trays that could've come from anywhere. I sit down with you, learn the occasion, and build the meal around your people and your moment. Twenty guests or two hundred, a backyard milestone or a black-tie affair, you get a chef who treats the night like his own name is on it. Because it is.
